The National Assistance Card is transitioning to HELP-T.nu

Starting January 1, 2026, the digital National Assistance Card will transition to HELP-T. The HELP-T digital assistance card offers more features than the current card, is more secure, and more user-friendly.
In addition to a digital and paper version of the assistance card, HELP-T also offers a start button for your phone. This start button allows you to access the information even faster. This provides additional convenience and security.
Create a profile for HELP-T
To use HELP-T, you must create a profile on the HELP-T website. This can be done starting December 17th. Users of the digital National Assistance Card can do this free of charge. They will receive an email from us on December 17th explaining how this works.
What is a profile?
A profile is the information people need to know to be able to help you in certain situations.
Important! The "digital" National Assistance Card will no longer be available as of January 1, 2026.
Paper Assistance Card
You can still use paper assistance cards. We also recommend that these users switch to HELP-T for national recognition. This can be done starting December 17th via the HELP-T website.
National Assistance Card Phone Number Discontinued
Due to the transition to HELP-T, the National Assistance Card phone number will also be discontinued. This means that the phone number 085-105 18 00 will no longer be available as of January 1, 2026.
For the new phone number, please visit the HELP-T.nu website.

LEVEL UP Awards 2024: HELP-ICE nominated among the 40 best Tech Startups in the Benelux

HELP-T wins the ActiZ-VGN-WDTM Innovation Award 2024

A way to look out for each other more and support vulnerable people and caregivers. That was the main reason the jury declared the wearable HELP-T badge the winner of the ActiZ-VGN-WDTM Innovation Award 2024 last Thursday. "The deciding factor was that HELP-T truly emphasizes the challenges we face in an aging society. We need to help each other and care more for one another; that's what we need these days," said jury member Sjim Romme.
The pitch competition is an initiative of industry associations ActiZ, VGN, and WDTM, seeking innovative ideas to further innovate long-term care. This innovation is already happening, but it can always be accelerated and scaled up. The Innovation Award helps with that. Four startups were given the opportunity to present their innovative ideas for long-term care in 5 minutes on the main stage of the Healthcare & ICT trade fair. An expert jury, consisting of representatives from healthcare, finance, and the business community, assessed the pitches, with HELP-T emerging as the ultimate winner. As a reward for their innovation, the HELP-T team will receive three months of guidance from a professional team of innovators and experts.
Safety, mobility, and self-reliance
Imagine people looking out for each other again. Social innovation: HELP-T.' This is how Jeroen Franssen, founder of HELP-T, began his powerful pitch, which immediately revealed the name of his startup. HELP-T launched this project eight years ago at the request of Alzheimer Nederland. The badge ensures that, in the event of an emergency, passersby, emergency responders, and healthcare professionals can take immediate action. By tapping the HELP-T logo badge or scanning the QR code with a mobile phone, it provides direct access to the name, date of birth, necessary medical information, action instructions, navigation to the home, and call buttons for contacts or the care organization. This improves the safety, mobility, and self-reliance of vulnerable users, supports emergency responders and healthcare organizations during emergencies, and relieves the burden on family members and healthcare professionals.

Recognition
The jury is also enthusiastic about the three other finalists, but HELP-T stands out. "It was very difficult to choose between four very different innovations. But ultimately, we think HELP-T best suits the issues facing elderly care and society," said Romme immediately after the award ceremony.
Jeroen Franssen is delighted with the recognition and considered it a prize in itself to be on the main stage of the Zorg & ICT trade fair: "We really didn't expect to win the innovation award, so that's why we're especially happy. Winning the award offers even more opportunities to engage with the right parties and scale up HELP-T."
